Embryo Donation

This is an important topic for couples to discuss! Anytime embryos are created, clients are required to indicate how they want “extra” embryos to be directed. It is important that you keep them in cryopreservation until you decide your family is complete. Then you are encouraged to choose one of the following options:

• Donate them to another individual or couple.

• Dispose of them.

• Utilize a “compassionate transfer”—an embryo transfer when it’s not likely to result in a pregnancy.

• Donate to research.
